The hike from bagley lake, going on to the chain lakes and artist point, is probably the most stunning hike i've ever taken.

Artist point hike wta. There should still be snow pack off the road and parking lot. The road to artist point, 2.7 miles long (milepost 54.55 to 57.26) and more than 5,000 feet above sea level, is typically buried under snow and closed october. Arrived at 9am on a sunday and parking lot was half full. Hike the chain lakes trail and in 0.25 mile, turn right on the table mountain trail.

We had this shorter hike on our list in case of a day with only a limited good weather window or if we wanted a restful day. It was starting to get dark and avalanche danger was high so we stayed on the ski hill instead of going to the artist point trail. This relatively easy snowshoe is an excellent winter destination with a virtual guarantee of good snow coverage. Table mountain 3 miles round trip with 560 feet of elevation gain, 5,700 ft high point.

The trail is primarily used for hiking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. We had to hike pretty steep uphill to get to the trailhead. The water is this gorgeous, gorgeous, lake tahoe blue.

Upper lodge to artist point trail is a 3.9 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near maple falls, washington that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail slowly meanders up for a while until reaching the final steep switchbacks where you'll have a sheer cliff to your side—don't let it distract you, and keep focused on the trail in front of you! 10 overall rating technical difficulty physical difficulty.

We continued to huntoon point from artist point through the artist ridge trail and it made this whole hike so much better. If you hike to huntoon point, please stay on the graveled trail. The views don't get much better from elsewhere, and the hike is so short that there is no need to take a shortcut on the way back. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Follow a gravel trail along the road, up to huntoon point then artist point for 360° views of the surrounding mountains. Shuksan and baker at roads end. We set out to hike artist point snowshoe and made it to the parking lot at the ski area around 2. The saying goes that alpine plants grow by the inch and die by the foot. and that is obvious on the artist's ridge trail.

Parking pass required at trailheads. Then 2.7 miles to the end to artist point (this portion of the road is very narrow with switchbacks). We got our snowshoes on and headed up toward the trailhead. Artist point is the top competitor for best viewpoint in the state.

The hike takes off from the artist point parking lot at an elevation of 5,220 feett.
